Welfare Checks

Welfare checks for anyone—apartments, businesses, and everyday people.

D&P Security provides professional welfare checks when there’s concern for someone’s wellbeing. This service is available to apartment communities, commercial properties, and civilians who need a responsible, documentation-driven check performed by trained security professionals.

We focus on respectful communication, clear reporting, and proper escalation when appropriate.

Service Areas: Colorado Springs • Denver • Aurora

How the Welfare Check Process Works

1) Request the welfare check

Contact D&P Security and provide the necessary details so we can respond efficiently:

Required Information

  • Requestor name + phone number + best contact method

  • Address/location for the welfare check

  • Name of the individual (or unit/area) to be checked

  • Reason for concern (brief description of what’s happening)

  • Any helpful access details (gate code, building/unit info, best entrance)

  • Any known safety concerns (if applicable)

2) Invoice + payment

After we confirm details and availability, we will send an invoice for payment.
Service is dispatched once payment is received (unless your property has an existing service agreement or billing arrangement).

3) Officer is dispatched

Once paid, a D&P Security officer will be sent to conduct the welfare check for:

  • Apartment communities (resident/unit concerns, property-related requests)

  • Civilians / everyday people (family/friend concerns, general requests)

  • Commercial properties (employee/site checks, secured areas, after-hours concerns)

4) Documentation + follow-up

After the welfare check, we provide clear documentation of the outcome, including:

  • Time-stamped notes

  • Whether contact was made (or not made)

  • Any escalation taken (if applicable)

  • Summary for the requestor/property management

What’s Included

  • Professional on-site welfare check attempt

  • Respectful communication and de-escalation-first approach

  • Observation-based documentation

  • Coordination with property management or emergency services when needed

Important Notes

  • We do not force entry. If no contact is made and concern remains, we may recommend escalation to the appropriate authorities.

  • If you believe someone is in immediate danger or a medical emergency is occurring, call 911 first.
